Around 20 years ago, I had the opportunity to use a Doom WAD editor. Although I can't recall the exact name of the editor, I believe it might have been WADED. It operated within DOS, offering minimal graphics that was required the use of your imagination for visualization (2D view without prerendered 3D even in wireframe mode).
Building time was a few minutes on my reliable old 486Dx4 100MHz (2x50MHz) machine.
The timeframe for this adventure was roughly 1998, which means there were other fantastic games available at the time. However, Doom remained one of my personal favorites for an extended period. The entire creation took about a month, with me dedicating an hour each day. I tend to get bored quickly, so I made sure not to spend too much time in one sitting. The result was two maps: E1M1 and E1M2.
You can download and utilize these maps with any modern Doom port, although I recommend using GZDoom. To ensure proper functionality, you may need the original WAD files from Final Doom.
